Community Updates

Community Garden, City Park Updates Headline Ingalls City Council Updates

Back in May there was a proposal to create a community garden for the town. The city council voted in favor of the creation of the community garden, which is now located on Santa Fe Street just across from Pride Ag Resources. There are 6 plots and each plot has water access with a water meter.

Also earlier this spring, it was approved by the council for the city park located on Main Street and Kansas Ave to receive an update. Since the spring, the city has put in a merry-go-round, a grill, a cover over the picnic table, and a rock climbing wall. These will be nice additions for the community.

Over the summer and early fall the city spent time replacing some street signs and repairing some roads. One of those was 1st Street from Main to Artt Street.

In September there was a community concern to make Strang St from 1st Street to McGarty St a one way street. The city approved to consider the concern and will talk more about it in upcoming meetings.
