Teacher Quotes

This year, I decided to collect our High School teachers’ favorite quotes to share with students! Ted Brown, our HS Principal, said, “Good things happen to good people who work hard”. Mr. Brown picked this quote because it’s his all time favorite. The reason it’s his all time favorite is because it’s 100% true. Mr. Brown first came to Ingalls High School in 2010 and used to be a HS football coach and JH basketball coach here in Ingalls. Unfortunately, he left in 2016. When the school year ended last year, we were in need of a high school principal, and Mr. Brown stepped up and took the job! Now he’s back and is someone that people look up to.

Stacy Salem, our high school counselor, said “Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive of what can go right.” Mrs. Salem has always been a very helpful person and is always asking us how we’re doing educationally and mentally. She is someone people will go to for help if someone is feeling down, or is just needing someone. Thank you Mrs. Salem!

Braden Pelischek, our high school history teacher, quoted, “Luck is for the unprepared.” Mr. Pelischek picked this quote because if you are prepared, you won’t need luck. Mr. Pelischek is someone students look up to and go to for advice no matter the situation. Mr. Pelischek is also an assistant Football Coach and was Assistant HS Basketball Coach. He is someone that’ll always want the best for you and to always do your best!

Jeff Rydquist, our high school English teacher, quoted, "Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up." Mr. J came back to Ingalls High School to teach this year. He was previously here at Ingalls High in 2015as a long-term substitute for 5th grade. He then left in 2017. We were also in need of an English teacher for this year and Mr. J ended up being the person to fill that position! He’s a very helpful person and knows how to make everyone smile.
