HS Cross Country

Seeing the world 3.1 Miles at a Time

The 2020 Cross Country team will start off the season at Leoti. They will set their first PR, (Personal Record), for the season there. The cross country team runs all around Ingalls for practice and sometimes goes on the blacktop and on some dirt roads. They run up hills a lot so they can get used to what some of the meet courses will look like.

The seniors were asked what they were most excited for this upcoming season. Obed stated, “I'm most excited to just hang out with the homies. The only reason I did it was really just so that I wouldn't get bored at home. Staying at home for the past few months has made me really grateful to even have an in-person school year. So I'm going to make the best out of it this year FOR SURE!!!!”

The cross country team includes 7th grader Demi Wilkinson, freshmen Layton Simon and Kevin Ruiz; sophomores Edwin Ruiz and Brenden Ellis; juniors Courtney Bailey and Chance Unruh; and seniors Edgar Ruiz and Obed Peregrino.

Saturday, September 5th they had their first cross country meet. The list below is their starting PR’s:
