State Shoot for Gray County Shooting Sports

This year it’s going to be different because of covid19. Instead of anyone with a qualifying score being able to participate, only the top 20 in each class will be able to go, the top 15 seniors and top 5 juniors. Gray County had three archers qualify to go to state, they will do the best they can. The archers are Phoenix McPhail, in the Senior Bow Hunter Class. He shot a 209. The next archer is Tater Dwyer, in the Senior Bare Bow Class, with a score of 141. The last archer is Paslie Werth, in the Junior Olympic Class, with a score of 180. The state archery shoot is September 26, 2020 in Lindsborg, KS.

Phoenix, Tater, and Paslie all qualified for state in a meet held on August 22 at the Cimmaron Rodeo Arena.
