Tara Harper, Science Teacher
Mrs. Harper was born in Joplin, Missouri. She went to Wyandotte High School in Wyandotte, OK. She loves science and likes high school students, so it was a perfect fit for her to become a science teacher. She originally went to school on a pre-med track and then later decided she didn't want to be a doctor. Kansas needed highly qualified science teachers so she switched over from the medical field to education. She graduated from Southwestern in Winfield, KS, then FHSU and WSU for her Transition 2 Teaching Program. She decided to come to Ingalls when she was pregnant with her 2nd child, Isaac. They wanted a house within a 30 mile radius of Garden City. When they bought the house and the job in Ingalls opened up it was perfect for her.
