Mrs. Lightner

February 09, 2018

Mrs. Lightner had a good Christmas. She enjoyed staying home with her family and sleeping in. The kinders had a fun time with their Christmas activities. On the last day of school before  Christmas break, they had a Christmas party. They went around to every classroom and did a different activity in each room. Then they went back to their classroom and had their own party.

Mrs. Lightners plans for her kinders the rest of the school year are to read, read, read, and math. As of right now they are working on sounding out words, they have learned twenty sight words and by the end of the year they will have learned 58. In math they are working on addition and subtraction. On January 28th, Mrs. H from the Finney County Historical Society will come and visit the kinders to celebrate Kansas Day. The kindergarteners will also do some fun activities for Martin Luther King Day. On the 100th day of school, the kinders will dress up like they are 100 years old. Mrs. Lightner would like the parents to continue to read with the kiddos at home.
