Mrs. Irsik

March 07, 2018

In Mrs. Irsik’s class the kids will be making Valentine’s folders for their party on the fourteenth. This month they plan to learn in social studies about Presidents Day, and about the presidents George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln. In math they are working on greater than and less than signs, along with two-digit addition and subtraction, and focusing on adding and subtracting nine’s. In reading, they are reading words CVCE and comprehension, compare and contrast using venn diagram, looking for main ideas and supporting details and trying to increase reading fluency by reading a lot of AR books. Their projects rightnow are: art, writing, and celebrating the 100th day of school with literature and math games. As Mrs.Irsik states “The top ten best ways to become a reader, 1. Read 2. Read 3. Read 4. Read 5. Read 6. Read 7. Read 8. Read 9. Read 10. Read!”
