Mrs. McFall
Mrs. Brenda McFall, our English as a Second Language (ESL) coordinator, earned her high school diploma from Dodge City High School. She attended college at Fort Hays then K-State where she earned her teaching degree for K-9 grades with early childhood. She grew up on a farm in northwest Ford County, and was the youngest of seven. McFall has three brothers and three sisters. She noted that her childhood hero was her mother. While in high school, she participated in KAYS, NHS, SADD, volleyball, and basketball.
Mrs. McFall had been teaching for ten years in the towns of Springtown, TX; Azle, TX; Yarbrough, OK; Fowler, KS; and Garden City, KS. She was looking to teach at a small-town district when she got the job at Ingalls. Her goal for her class/students this year is for them to “succeed to their fullest potential.” What she enjoys most about being a teacher is “inspiring the students to be the best they can possible be in life.” Her favorite pastime is being outside and watching her ten-year-old son, Gabriel, compete in swimming. Her most-liked book is The Night before Christmas while her favorite movie is Brigadoon.
McFall said that when growing up, she wanted to be a veterinarian or interior designer. If you stop by her room, you’ll see that creative influence. So far, though, we haven’t seen any animals! We do, however, see lots of activity and students learning with the help of Mrs. McFall.
