Mr. Beery graduated from Sterling College in May of 1969. He came to Ingalls in January of 1970. He has been teaching at Ingalls for 38 years. He retired from full time teaching in 2005-2006. He is still working at Ingalls, teaching two upper level science classes. Mr. Beery still enjoys teaching and likes being around the students.  He met his wife Joyce at Sterling College in June of 1971. They have two daughters: Tricia is a teacher at Sterling, and Jan is a kindergarten teacher in Dodge City.

Mr. Beery's  hobbies are: Woodworking (building furniture, shelves, and remodeling). In the afternoon he does maintenance for the high school.
