Hoops For Heart

January 30, 2007

Ingalls will hold a Hoops For Heart Event on March 13. It will involve Pre-K through 5th grade students.  Students will fight heart disease and stroke with Hoops For Heart. This popular basketball event takes place in other schools all over the country. Students play basketball and collect donations from their friends and family. Our efforts help other kids and adults who may have heart disease or stroke.

Students who raise a certain amount of money will receive thank-you gifts. Examples include : mini sports bottle, light-up top, top shots, t-shirts, basketball, pump rocket, phone recorder, capsule fm radio, mini digital camera, razor electric scooter.

Hoops For Heart is a school fitness and education program. It teaches the value of cardiovascular fitness while raising money for research into heart disease and stroke. These diseases are our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers.

Hoops For Heart is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
