Education has always been an important part of my life and in the life of my family.  I believe education is the most vital component to our future.  We must continue to teach the academic as well as the life-long skills that all young people of today so desperately need.  Teaching respect, responsibility, manners, and good work ethic is critical.  These qualities will assure our students success in their post high school years.  Our academic standards are somewhat state and federally driven.  However, local school districts must constantly strive toward developing a prepared and well-rounded student.

I have worked in education for 30 years and would not trade this field for any other.  I enjoy working with other educators and love my time with children.  I feel every decision made in education should focus on the students.  Our children are our future.
